About the Image(s)

This image is from Canyon Lake (also called Cactus Lake) which is located east of Phoenix, AZ. It's a beautiful spot for houseboats, fishing, wildlife sighting and some other water activities on a year-round basis. I took this picture from the road as we approached the lake on our way to a canyon cruise about a year ago. I really like the abundant saguaro cactus surrounding the lake and tried to make one of the saguaros the main focal point of this image. It was taken with my Fuji X-T2 camera with 18-135mm lens at 18mm, 1/250 sec, F16, at ISO 200, handheld. In Photoshop, I increased the contrast and clarity a bit, and also lightened up the shadows in the distant cliffs.
