About the Image(s)
It was taken a couple of years ago in Hangzhou, China, in a park called Bamboo Pass. The lady with the pink umbrella is a friend who was showing me some of her favorite places around town. I usually avoid including people in my pictures, but her bright umbrella seemed to provide a nice contrast to the dark path with the overcast skies. I took it with my Panasonic Lumix FZ200 camera at 25mm, F2.8, 1/25th sec, at ISO400. In post I just lightened it and increased the contrast a bit.

Nice thought having the lady included in the pic, the pink umbrella being a bonus. Well framed having here in the centre of the path and in the middle of the gates. The water on the path has added to the pic. Good one.   Posted: 03/03/2025 16:20:38
This is a very nice image. Very symetric and calm, with a progressive Gradation from dark to bright from the close/bottom to far/sky. An added light path with a bright color walker with an umbrella - just wonderful. The distant door and the walker are inviting us to visit China!
This is a keeper and would be a great image for a travel agency.

Hi Kirk. I thought it was in Japan. When I have a close look of the gate at the end of path. Yes. I am sure this is China not Japan. The lady with pink umbrella is definitely a story telling element into this image. It gives the sense of height and depth of the pass! Job well done. No complain and no suggestion :).   Posted: 03/17/2025 01:41:48
No suggestions on this one. The lady adds to the photo make you feel your walking the path.   Posted: 03/26/2025 02:22:30
