About the Image(s)
My local camera club did a field trip to the Mescal Movie set in southern Arizona, where a lot of old westerns were shot. We were there during high sun, so did what I could to make this more interesting. This is taken with my Nikon Z8, 1/1600 sec at f/4.0, focal length 41 mm, ISO 200.

Katheryn I cannot fault this really good pic. Well composed great lighting and it tells a story. Lucky you to end up at such a location.   Posted: 01/04/2025 07:36:07

Hi Kathryn,
Lovely capture from the past. Nice lines, depth, tones, etc... I would have liked a bit more separation between the carriage and its background, but this is a very minor point.
I have not been to Mescal but visited Tombstone, AZ, where there is another TV movie set - just in case you are around that area.   Posted: 01/05/2025 16:53:02

Hi Kathryn,
This is terrific- really speaks to my soul! We lived in AZ and NM for 25 years and I am drawn to everything Western. This is perfect from my standpoint: great lighting, excellent composition. I like the way the pointed mountaintop echoes the pointed roof of the old store. No suggestions- great shot!   Posted: 01/06/2025 00:55:07
