Recently I went to Rottnest Island off the West Australian coastline. It is famous for the quokkas which are a type of marsupial. As they have no natural predators on the island you can get up close to them. One of the acitivities is to get a selfie with a quokka. However all of my quokkas were either eating or sleeping.

I like that you caught this small animal munching on a leaf. The lower appendages and tail have been truncated, which usually is not optimum, but it doesn't really create a problem, to my eye, in this image. Posted: 08/03/2026 17:03:37

Great image of an animal that I was not familiar with. Nice editing and catch light.
How to improve:
No suggestion for your editing as your original is showing the clipping of his left leg and part of his tail.
This clipping is to be avoided if possible. It would be nice to see a complete animal and some of its environment. This would also have helped to bring the face further up in the frame. Posted: 08/12/2026 14:58:57

Great capture, Ive never seen this animal before! I do think that adjusting the lighting a little could help with some of the harsher lighting. But overall a great capture! Posted: 08/18/2026 00:50:26
