About the Image(s)
Taken in the Panama Canal. The Tamarin and Capuchin live on islands in the canal and can only be approached by boat. They are wild but respond to being fed by the guides.
Sony A7 IV 240mm. ISO 1000, f8, 1/400secs.
I chose to crop out the very long tail to add emphasis to the face.

Yes, I can see why you wouldn't include the entire tail. The eyes definitely are the center of interest in this image. This animal certainly has a solid grip on that tree branch. Posted: 08/03/2026 16:50:37

I do like your crop for this image. He seems to have a bit of a cranky expression or is it the hairstyle?lol.

Beautiful capture, Interesting facial expression, great fur texture, plenty of details on the hands and feet.

What a beautiful capture. The subject is expressive and well placed. This is a really impressive capture. It is a shame that the tail wasnt in a better place so as to allow more of it to be in the photo. But I guess that is the challenge with photographing living things. Well done and great capture!
