About the Image(s)
For this month I took a photo using my iphone 13Pro at the chicago botanic garden. I took the photo in the middle of the day which affected lighting. I decided to go with some light editing, a tighter crop and used the AI light room setting to remove the background flowers. For the editing I mainly adjusted the lighting and the whites/blacks to draw focus onto the main flower.

Jacob,
Your editing certainly improved this image. To my eye, the background is caught in that awkward region between clearly in-focus and out-of-focus. That's one of the challenges with using a camera phone - it usually decides what is best as far as aperture, shutter speed, etc. But you could blur the background more in post.   Posted: 07/06/2026 14:47:00

I do like your editing skills.
Although taken in the middle of the day it nearly looks at though it is lit from within   Posted: 07/08/2026 06:23:01
