About the Image(s)
This photo was taken after looking out of my front window & seeing these kangaroos fighting. At the time I hadn’t yet bought my 600mm lens.
I didn’t try to get closer as I didn’t want to disturb them.
I would be interested in seeing some image reworks especially using Topaz to see how it can be improved.
Focal length 300mm
Shutter speed 1/800
Aperture F 5.6
ISO 12800

Diane,
I am sure this would be an interesting action image if you could have zoomed in or gotten closer.   Posted: 02/05/2025 00:06:42

Hi Diane,
Nice action but I found it very dark. When I brought in ON1, I realized that there were a lot of totally "black" areas. I decreased the dark area, decreased the shadows and applied a Neutral density filter to darken the bright grass in the foreground. Just a few suggestions...

Thanks. I like seeing what others will do. Gives me more ideas   Posted: 02/15/2025 01:54:47
It's so amazing that you can see these animals from your home.
I also found them to be too dark and the small crop has diminished sharpness. I'm sure you will get better results with the 600mm lens.

Thanks. I have the lens now I just need the kangaroos to cooperate   Posted: 02/15/2025 01:55:24
All what the others said, plus, I feel this was taken early am with a blue predominance. The white balance could be corrected for a slightly warmer appearance.   Posted: 02/13/2025 11:39:22
Thanks. You are right it was an early morning shot   Posted: 02/15/2025 01:55:54
Amazing! I have deer in my back yard and that excites me. I cannot imagine kangaroos! Looking forward to seeing what you can capture with your 600mm. Thanks for sharing the original showing the onlookers.   Posted: 02/14/2025 22:35:44
We always get excited with other country's wildlife. We do have some feral deer nearby. There is a white stag but every time I see him there is no safe pull in place with the car.   Posted: 02/15/2025 01:57:37
This is a nice photo. I do agree that it is a little hard to see the subject and understand the image, but looking at it for a minute I was able to understand. I agree with the others that the image is great with what you are working with and the 600mm will be exciting to see. Great photo.   Posted: 02/16/2025 20:53:33
