About the Image(s)
Happy New Year.
I took this image on a recent camping trip to Garner State Park, TX. The sun was setting over the rippling clear water of the Frio. I cropped in to emphasize the horizontal and vertical golden reflections. I applied some of the usual edits (contrast, clarity, and a bit of saturation) and a vignette. I used a relatively slow shutter speed to add softness to the water.
The camera was a Sony A7R5, f11, 1/15, 24 - 105 mm, ISO 400.

BTY, I know this image is a bit "different" from what is usually submitted to our group and may be more difficult to evaluate since it is largely abstract.   Posted: 01/06/2025 23:55:23

At first glance this appeared to be a puddle in the road. Closer examination shows the clear water in the river with the lovely reflections. Your composition is spot on even adding emphasis to the stones under the water.   Posted: 01/08/2025 20:45:46

That water certainly is clear. Initially I thought I was looking at a rock ledge.
I do like how the crop has emphasised the patterns & colour   Posted: 01/11/2025 01:57:51

I think this is a very nice shot and your edits are very good. I like how the sun's reflection makes my eyes move through the shot. I like this!   Posted: 01/16/2025 00:59:44

I think this is very interesting and well done. I think that the light makes a very interesting shape and the crop is an interesting choice. I was surprised when I saw the image because I originally thought it was a horizon photo.   Posted: 01/16/2025 03:42:12
