Pierre,
Great catch. I know a few hunters that would love to have seen this buck with the large symmetrical rack.   Posted: 12/07/2024 01:21:59

He was a big boy. I was planning on walking on that trail, crossing right in front of him, but decided to do a little detour!   Posted: 12/07/2024 01:43:40

Yes, he was armed.   Posted: 12/07/2024 02:05:04

Agree. My camera was not made to defend myself from that rack!   Posted: 12/07/2024 02:11:47

Are they really that dangerous? We get some feral deer but they always seem to run away.   Posted: 12/09/2024 20:07:54

Hi Diane, It is the mating season. If a buck stands up and stump its hoof, one must back up! No problem with does.   Posted: 12/09/2024 20:29:19

I do like this capture & am not sure what I can suggest for improvement. I'll wait & see what the others come up with.   Posted: 12/09/2024 20:09:30

Love the picture. Nothing to add.
And, yes, those bucks, during the rut, are mean!!   Posted: 12/11/2024 14:28:59

Great capture of the Stag who looks completely relaxed. The background is busy, but the rack does stand out. I would probably darken the background to create even more separation.   Posted: 12/11/2024 18:33:47

I think that this is a great capture. I agree with Mervyn that the background is busy. I am unsure if the background should be darkened or lightened but I think that would help to separate the subject from the background. I think all of your current changes really help to focus us on the deer.   Posted: 12/16/2024 19:07:20
