On the Massai Mara in Kenya this past September, we came across this pride of Lions feeding on a recent kill in the early morning. After their fill the younger lions and lionesses became friendly and started licking each other and playing together. The early light was gorgeous for capturing these animals.
Sony 600mm. Auto ISO 800. f8, 1/2500secs. Manual mode.
I just cropped in PS and Topaz AI to sharpen and denoise.

I enjoy the way that you were able to capture these lionesses without distracting them. Although the colour hues are fairly similar I like the way you have been able to differentiate the lionesses as the subject. Posted: 12/09/2024 20:01:56
Very nice capture. The playful nature of the cubs is well exemplified in your frame. The low light serves to give the image a nice touch. You might try cropping down to just the faces for a more intimate capture. (As a separate photo. This one is great wihout the crop) Posted: 12/11/2024 14:23:55

There is always a cute factor when observing youngsters, especially when at play.
Great capture and treatment.
My only suggestion, if possible, it to have a little more room on the left side of the image.

What an amazing photo. The detail is amazing in the photo. From a personal stand point I would extend the photo a little on the top if the original was cropped. But the extension would only be by a few pixels up. But I think with the quality of this photo it is just personal preference. Posted: 12/16/2024 19:01:06
