About the Image(s)
For this month I decided to work on an old photo. I photographed this morning glory using my iphone 13pro. I then cropped the photo and used the ai heal brush in adobe lightroom. I then adjusted the light, shadow and vibrancy of the image. I then moved the photo over to photoshop and separated a few of the leaves and the flower from the background and did a series of layers to try and add a fog effect.

I like the cleaned-up background. The flower itself seems a bit too vivid to me but it is certainly striking.   Posted: 12/07/2024 01:24:02

I agree with Dean. But as an artistic/creative edit it is spot on.   Posted: 12/09/2024 20:16:08

The composition is good but I wonder if a more straight-in composition would work better to show the luminiscent quality of the inside of the flower. The artisitic effects added could be more prominent in the foreground as the eye is drawn to the effect in the background but one has to look carefully to see the same in the foreground. Also, there is some corrugated thingy on the lower left of the frame that is distracting. This could be removed.   Posted: 12/11/2024 14:41:16

Hi Jacob,
I agree with the previous comments. The high saturation appears artificial to me. Furthermore, at least on my screen, the background portion of the image is lacking details/blotchy - this was much less pronounced on the original image.
I would tone down on the saturation and possibly sharpening.
Keep on the good work.

This is very similar to the image that you showed last month and I think I prefer that one better due to the angle of the flower allowing us to see into the center of the flower.
In this picture I agree with previous comments about the blotchy background.   Posted: 12/11/2024 18:39:58
