About the Image(s)
The last day of our safari in Sri Lanka we came across a lone elephant browsing near a wetland. As we were photographing it, another appeared from the bushes and charged it. It was pretty exciting with all the trunk waving and trumpeting, ears flapping, and running generally toward us (in our vehicle). I shot over 40 frames of the action (I wasn’t in the highest frame rate..). I had been tighter on the one but when the action started I backed off to try to insure I wouldn’t cut one of them off. I chose this one because of the sheets of dust coming off the backs, and the relative positions of the 2.
