Mine Came First!

This is MY version and I did it first! I took this photo of an Osprey at Flamingo Bay in the Florida Everglades 2 years ago and titled it “Ruffled and Shaken”. The Osprey had caught his fish and returned to a tree to eat his well-earned meal. After eating the fish head the Osprey began frantically shaking and ruffling his feathers. He kept this action up for well over a minute while I kept shooting. I thought he looked quite comical all shaken and ruffled. I put the image into my files and basically forgot about it until now.
This year nature photographer Tapani Linnanmäki won the People's Choice award at the 2024 Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards. With his photo of a White Tail Eagle that he titled “Shake, Ruffle, Rattle and Roll". OK, the eagle has a “cuter” face, but still. If you want to see the “new comer’s” image you can enter his name and image title in a Google search. (note, this is all in fun)
