About the Image(s)
This image was taken recently indoors with window light. I used a piece of scrapbook paper for the background. Processed in Photoshop Elements 2023. I lightened the entire image. Taken with an Android phone-Pixel by Google.

Priscilla, a lovely shot of the purple iris! Your choices of the scrapbook paper with its soft purple tones for the background as well as the diagonal composition were good ones. For the most part, the iris is sharp, but just a few minor areas are not quite as sharp. I myself struggle with that issue.   Posted: 07/08/2024 16:02:35

Hi Priscilla: Really nice arrangement of the Iris flowers.
Interesting how you have arranged the stems with two originating from the side of the frame and one from the bottom.
Love the low contrast soft mood as presented, it fits this scene perfectly; and then your background colors have been very well planned to blend in with the flowers.

Hi Priscilla,
Very artistic image. Nice complementary background that is sufficiently out of focus not to compete with the subject.
I would have preferred a little more room on top, and on both sides - just a suggestion.
One can easily "Pop up" a subject by adding a touch of contrast.

This is a wonderful capture of this bloom against an effective background. I agree with most of the comments above and would echo the suggestion of darkening the background some. One of your better submissions.   Posted: 07/31/2024 21:30:29
