About the Image(s)
These spider webs are very fragile and will move back and forth in just the slightest of breezes. I find an early morning with fog is the best time before the morning breeze arrives. Morning fog is essential; with no fog the dew drops will not form on the spider web.
The background is out of focus pasture grass in the distance.
I used my tripod mounted Pentax K7 with a 90 mm Tamron macro lens (1/80 sec, f/11, ISO 250). I am near 1X (1:1) magnification, about as close in as the macro lens will focus. Early morning cloudy lighting. Post processed in Elements.

I am really enjoying this image. The clarity of the water drops against a clean background is remarkable. The sharpness of the refraction images within each drop is amazing. There is a simplicity to this presentation that adds to its compelling nature. You made a lot of effective decisions in capturing this image. I would not change anything. A wonderful shot that you should be proud of.   Posted: 07/08/2026 20:57:38

This is great! I love how the waterdrops are half and half! Another one for me to try!   Posted: 07/12/2026 21:29:21
