About the Image(s)
Here my thought was to find some mundane element in everyday life, and to present it as a more interesting story. Again, applying my style of "making the commonplace uncommon". In this case I had a collection of hard candies with an image in the center, and some of them had a more translucent center structure (as opposed to an opaquer center). I thought it might be interesting to shine a light through the translucent center to highlight the native colors in these candies. Each candy is roughly the size of a quarter. Here is the result of that effort.
In this simple shot I used my tripod mounted Canon R5 camera with a 100 mm f/2.8 macro lens (at 100 mm, 1/4 sec, f/16, ISO 400) with a simple light and a sheet of white paper (as a diffuser) behind the candy.
Let me know what you think …

The darker color of the base with the background color a lighter shade of the base was well chosen. All of the various colors in this scene harmonize with each other and there are no color clashes.
As always technical quality is spot on, very creative work !!   Posted: 12/10/2025 04:43:38
Somewhat half way between abstract and creative.

As a retired English teacher, I could not resist including Emerson's quote. Your image does make the viewer look at the hard candy pieces in a new way. I like the different colors with the yellow outside in the center twin the image together with the yellow interiors on either side.
