About the Image(s)

Title: Junkers Ju 52

The JU 52 shortly after takeoff at the Berlin Airshow 2016. The aircraft was produced in 1936 at the Airplane works in Dessau. The JU 52 had room for 16 passengers. The aircraft belonged to the Lufthansa Foundation and was used for sightseeing flights at airshows until 2016. In 2019, the aircraft had to be decommissioned as it could no longer be made airworthy. The JU 52 had thus been in flight for 80 years and had completed 21,000 flight hours.

Hi Hans. Sorry for not getting to your photo last month. I must have been submitted a little late.
What an interesting photo of a very historic plane which I have been reading about recently regarding the movement of German officials late 1930's-40's in this model plane.
Your position in taking the photo must have also been in the air this always with aircraft photos gives the feeling you were there with them in formation. The lighting is excellent and clouds give the plane feature you have even have pilot and passengers faces showing. Great photo.   Posted: 07/03/2024 06:40:20

Hans, this indeed is a different vantage point. We are used to see flying planes taken from below. Agree with Ronald that it seems you are also in another plane at the same level. The plain is sharp, and the propellers show movement.   Posted: 07/03/2024 20:24:29

Hans, great photo - agree with previous comments. The angle of the shot is great, very clear and also have people from the plane including the pilot. The clouds add a nice dimension to the photo as well. Great shot!   Posted: 07/07/2024 21:07:52
