Title: Speed Trail

A photo of Northampton Foxes, a speedway team taken with a Canon 300mm 2.8 prime lens and canon 1dx iii at Northampton Shaleway & Speedway in Brafield, a village in Northamptonshire England.

Added a trailing light effect to it to give it a speeding effect to make it more dramatic by using affity photo.

Hi Lee. Welcome to the group. Being in England perhaps we may see something different, UK is a great place for photography. Your photo is quite spectacular with the dust and yellow lighting from the right side. The blur on the rider is a further addition to the photo. You say you used Affinty to produce "Added a trailing light effect", this is not allowed in PJ, you have to produce a blur by panning the camera (annoying aspect of PJ but probably needed). In other photographic areas e.g. Open, your photo would be accepted. Other than this point your photo has great features, bold lighting, in focus, no background distractions and perfect timing showing the rider holding back his powerful machine.
PS In view of your English background I will go over some of my cricket photos and see if any are worth submitting. Other members of the group are not familiar with cricket and find these photos confusing.   Posted: 07/10/2026 05:58:49

Lee, I second Ronald to welcome you to our group. You share same interest as our friend Bruce Benson. He has been photographing and couching football (the other soccer...) for many years. I like your image very much specially the effect applied, but yes as Ronald has said, in PJ is not allowed. Great light.   Posted: 07/10/2026 12:33:44
