Title: Corner Kick
I recently bought an old time Canon Lens 28-300mm L lens. As a first tryout with this lens, I drove to a nearby park and took some photos of a junior soccer match. Why I bought this lens was the excellent focal range 28-300mm. This I thought would ideally capture the full range of action on just about every sports field possible. I positioned myself next to a corner hoping for a corner kick, and this was the result. It took all of one half for this shot.
Focal length was 35mm. Unfortunately I left the aperture open at F3.5, but the result was not too bad, rather surprising. I hope this photo does cover the corner kick in soccer. I have seen much better in adult games but have not been in the right position. I’ve even seen a goal with a magnificent curve kick score a goal from a left footed player. Unfortunately, I had just arrived at the ground and was not set up.
I also bought this lens as a possible travel lens but have never taken it on a travel trip. Like all Canon L lenses, it is very heavy, requiring at least a monopod.

With Canon L lenses, not a great deal of processing is required.
