Title: Try Again
This was shot at a local college track competition. I thought it was kinda interesting with the foot caught on the pole.

Tom, I am always impressed by the arms strength and agility of these athletes. For sure this is an unusual capture from the right vantage point in a position and holding to what looks like a long stick. Obviously, he missed the jump. Image is sharp.   Posted: 04/08/2025 13:04:00
Tom - great shot and very sharp. I like the side view of the athlete as it helps tell more of the story. The athlete doesn't look worried, but more disappointed and a long way down after the miss. One suggestion would have been to get more of his head instead of being blocked by the pole, but otherwise a great picture.   Posted: 04/17/2025 14:36:56
Hi Tom. A very interesting choice of subject matter, pole vaulter. One of the few track sports where athletes reach great heights. Your photo must have been taken from a stand as you are at the same level as the athlete. This fact gives your photo a point of difference. As pointed out by Tom the next shot in burst mode may have been better.   Posted: 04/18/2025 07:19:39
