About the Image(s)
Title: Triple Jumper
This was taken at a Division 3 meet at a local college. It was a very bright day. I liked this triple jumper's face as he was very expressive when he jumped.
Shot with an Fuji XH2s with a Fuji 90mm F2 lens, at f2, 1/8000th, ISO 160.

Hi Tom. Really like this photo, captured perfectly on the instant after landing using shutter speed 8000/1 freezing even the sand, not too much sand but at the time of contact only. Athlete's arms perfectly placed either side of his body showing his intent at gaining the final extra millimetres. Facial expression, gritted teeth and his body shadow to his right further bonus to the photo. Background blurred but not too much giving the track some emphasis, even leading lines of the runup going into the distance showing where he has come from. Cannot see any possible improvements.   Posted: 03/06/2025 20:17:11

Tom, you had the best sit in the house. Great vantage point. Peak of action on a very expressive athlete. Sharp.   Posted: 03/15/2025 07:32:01
