Title: The Golf Swing
In Melbourne during the summer months, professional golf tournaments are held. The Golf Swing was taken at a local golf course women's international event, local players, Europeans, and Asian players being the competitors. The Golf Swing is an easy photo to take, as players usually make the full swing on most par 4 and 5 holes. That said, there is nothing more majestic to watch in sport than the full swing made by a lady professional. Male professionals can get away with errors in the swing, as strength is on their side. In fact, some male golfers look positively ugly.
Here the lady golfer has almost made the full 450-degree swing. My photo is not quite at the finish. The photo was taken at a slow shutter speed 1/125 to try and gain some natural blur from the swing movement, but at the same time trying to capture her facial features. Her face is reasonably sharp. That is testament to the stillness of her head at completion, not an easy task for an amateur golfer.
