Title: Kiteboard Surfing
“Kiteboard Surfing” was created a while back in Titusville, Florida at the marina. Now the area has been closed with a fence. I went to photograph at Black Point in Merritt Island, but there was no bird activity. On my way back, I drove over the Max Brewer Memorial bridge and saw a group of people doing Kiteboard surfing next to the Veterans Memorial Fishing Pier at the Indian River Lagoon. Some of them were more experienced than others.
I used the Nikon Z6ii with the Nikkor lens 500 mm f5.6 PF, which ended up being too much power for many of the shooting opportunities, but I was able to capture a good series of surfers maneuvering in the air. The settings were ISO 560, f/8 and 1/2500 sec and + 1/3 EC, using manual setting with auto-ISO. The image was corrected for light in the shadows and cropped. Added a couple more images (Original 1, 2 and 3) just for illustration purposes and to show the different actions done.
