Title - Defending in the Box
Background - this was taken at a club game a couple of weeks ago. The player in the white was going shoulder to shoulder in the box defending. He is the center back. He was able to get his foot on the ball and get it out of the box and prevent any play on the goal.

Shot with a Nikon Z9
Lens Nikkor 70-200mm at 125mm,
f/2.8, ISO 125, 1/2500 sec
I enhanced the image slightly to reduce the exposure a little bit and reduced the contrast, highlights, white and black levels to reduce the harshness a bit.

Hi Don. A well captured typical soccer contest for the ball both players boots are locked together. Player to the left, half shown could have been cropped out. Lighting levels are fine you could not have done better a very natural photo showing three faces. Posted: 12/15/2024 18:30:55
Don, image with peak of action. The three players in the front are very sharp. The one in the background is out of focus, but is integral part of the frame. Three feet in the air. I just cropped distracting items. Posted: 12/21/2024 20:53:09
