In this image I am showing you again my Grandchild 3, Grandson 2 Joseph. He is now 17 years old and continues to be a very avid sportsman. You saw him back in November 2022 and August 2024. Here, he is in his senior year and member of a group selection to play other schools. At the time of this image, they had no lost games. He was safe at home. The other player is the opponent’s pitcher who tried to tag him out.
The image was created with a Nikon Z8 with the Nikkor zoom lens Z 100-400 mm f/4.5-5.6 @ 140 mm and with these settings: ISO 1400 (Auto setting), f/8 and 1/1250 sec. The image was PP I LightRoom and cropped.

Isaac,, It is always great when you can get some action images of your family. Your image I sharp and well exposed. It make me wonder did the other player catch the ball and was your grandson safe? Nice action image. Bruce   Posted: 11/07/2024 06:01:53

Hi Isaac. A good capture at a turning point in a game, making base may have won the game. The dirt under his feet adds further interest as it shows the closeness of the action as he was forced to slide home. Pitcher being elevated adds interest to the story he may have just stopped a wild throw which may have prevented other players getting home.   Posted: 11/13/2024 04:30:49

I like the action -- the flying dirt really conveys the sliding motion. I also like the way the batter on the on deck circle balances the composition. Nice shot.   Posted: 11/30/2024 01:12:37
