Early morning Dog jogging by Gerhard Geldenhuys

July 2026 - Early morning Dog jogging

About the Image(s)

Early morning Dog jogging (instead of dog walking) was captured early morning from across the road from where I was. It’s an unusual sight: a very well-disciplined dog on a busy beachfront promenade. Tech stuff: Nikon Z6 111 28-400 lens at 400mm, F/8, 1/640sec., ISO 200, Centre weighted metering. Captured in RAW. Processed in Adobe PS where the image was cropped.

Cool take, it shows the partnership between the dog and the gentleman. Both are enjoying their exercise and company. Good documentary style.   Posted: 07/09/2026 04:49:15

Hi Gerhard. well matched colours, serves the theme in color.
you could have waited a moment for the man to pass the pole so his body wouldn't get tangled up. the synchronization of human and dog steps is beautiful. keep on.   Posted: 07/11/2026 09:14:39

A lovely image of a dog taking it's master for a run.
The dog is in the centre of the image and it is the highlight or point of interest; it's owner coming into the image is only secondary to the story.
There is movement in both the dog and it's owner and also in the swirling sea in the background. This is in contrast to the brightly lit solid and stationary fence alongside them.
A great image of human interest that contrasts movement with the rigidity of the fence and the path.
Well done!
