About the Image(s)
This is in Portugal, in front of the hotel door. I did not expect to see homelessness in Portugal, and to me, she seemed deep in thought in an uncertain situation, seeking help. This is in color, but I converted it to black and white for a more dramatic look. Technical:- camera canon EOS 70D, lens EF-S 18-135mm, f 3.5, ISO 320, lens length 18mm, 0ev, 1/30.

This is a great "emotional"scene but you missed the real essence of the message by not including the note that tells the story. Also suggesting that the image be straightened . Very well seen and a great street scene .   Posted: 11/11/2025 07:03:15
Thank you, Gerhard. That bothered me, too. When I was preparing to take the picture, our group of tourists started coming out of the hotel, and I was in the way, so I hurried and didn't have time to compose properly.   Posted: 11/12/2025 03:10:56
a very interesting image that didn't need to have a non straight horizon. If you changed the angle and left the sign at least with no significance of the picture and included the reflection of the people in the door, you would gave as a good dril to think a story. nice option the mono color.   Posted: 11/12/2025 11:19:45
Thank you, Marvi, that is an excellent idea.   Posted: 11/14/2025 02:36:35
An impact image, showing a personal struggle. The tilted image hints that all is not well. The subject expression, posture and holding the companion tight is highly emotional. I agree with Gerhard that the message would complete the image and its mood, but by showing a portion of the message leaves the viewer wondering and intrigued. Good work.   Posted: 11/17/2025 03:42:29
