About the Image(s)
In my weekly travels, I stopped for this image as it reminded me of the photographs of Dakota Nash. The Quonset hut structure, in Waupaca, Wisconsin, had been an overgrown storage unit for decades, but a new owner cleared away the vegetative growth. Two weeks after I took this shot, the new owner had removed the bus! Tech stuff: f/4, 1/600 sec, ISO 250, 35mm focal length, 4 aperture, center-weighted average metering. Processed through LR, PS, Topaz.

Interesting place and story. I like the direct framing approach. Documenting a place for posterity. Sorry to hear that the bus was removed. I thought it was complementary and added character to the old garage. Good work.   Posted: 07/08/2025 00:22:09
Very interesting picture. You make us wonder for the story. who may stood there smiking a cigarette. Maybe was James Dean...   Posted: 07/09/2025 17:40:52
James Dean, you made me laugh! That reference sure takes me back to an iconic photo of him on a motorcycle.   Posted: 07/18/2025 15:52:08
This iconic photo of Dean I remembered when I commented on yours. When I am shooting, I am always making stories on my mind.   Posted: 07/24/2025 14:57:45
Well depicted image with a good story. A pity about the absence of the bus.   Posted: 07/13/2025 07:39:08
This is an image that brings memories of a bygone era. The weathered building and the vintage vehicles give a strong sense of Americana. This is a nicely composed image with the vehicles advertising the fact that this is most likely a museum. A nicely balanced and softly lit image that has a certain quiet, old timey feel about it.
Nicely done
