I often walk in the BlokM and Kebayoran Baru neighbourhood at night, have a bite, a drink, and hopefully an interesting situation or composition finds me. Friday is the busiest night, many food vending carts, called "kaki lima" (stands for feet) and lima is five in Bahasa Indonesia. So five the 5 feet are: 2 from the person pushing the cart, 2 wheels for the cart and 1 post to lean the cart when stopped. Today, I am sending an image from BlokM Square, an area with shops, cafes, and restaurants. On Sundays, one can see scenes of pre-weddings, groups working on a video for a blog or advertising, and groups of people enjoying the day. The image I send is from BlokM Square, taken (after giving a smile) as "passing by." I tried to capture it as candid.

Cisco, A very interesting image with great story. Technically, there's a shadow leading line from bottom right to the subject and all men in the image direct their attention to the woman and cameraman. There's a lot of texture along the right and the vehicles' noses all point into the image. Very well composed.   Posted: 03/16/2025 11:37:36

Thank you, Trey. I appreciated it. Sorry for not posting the original. I tried and it did not work, the original image is larger than the size allowed.   Posted: 03/20/2025 03:08:53

An interesting comment by Trey and the story telling of this scene is very well seen and photographed. I am in good hands and as a wildlife photographer, I look forward to future rounds. Also a strong picture in monochrome.   Posted: 03/19/2025 12:13:04

Thank you, Gerhard. I appreciate your comment. For me street photography is about the story.   Posted: 03/20/2025 03:10:26

it seems to be an interesting neighbourhood and many things happens at the same time. I would prefer to see one action at a time.   Posted: 03/19/2025 18:07:42

It is a busy place in Jakarta, particularly on the weekends. I am sorry, I don't understand what you mean by "...one action..." For me the peripherals around the main subject are important. Does that m, make sense?   Posted: 03/20/2025 03:15:03
