About the Image(s)
A Photo Club I previously belonged to (before we moved) did a bit of a studio lighting workshop one evening (this was a number of years ago). Shot with my old Nikon D7000, 1/125 sec at f/11. 85 mm focal length, ISO 100 with, of course, studio lighting.
Converted to monochrome in LR, PS and NIC Silver Efex Pro. I often struggle with converting portraits to BW, trying to get the skin tones right - I would be interested in how you think I did.

What a great portrait with excellent lighting and catch light in his eyes. The pose is great and the focus sharp. You captured it well. Excellent job! One little nit is I would suggest cloning out the small bright spot on his forehead.   Posted: 07/05/2024 14:38:43
I agree with Cindy. As I look, I wonder what it would look like with a backlight to show the edges. Nice detail and expression. B&W was also a good choice.   Posted: 07/29/2024 14:27:07
