I took the trains in 2014. f/8, 1/250th, and ISO 200. I then processed the mono's original picture in HDR, using Photomatix Pro. I added some contrast to and sharpened the mono picture.

I think this is a good capture showing so many details. I like your narrow crop too. For me, it appears a little flat. I added a great deal more contrast. Posted: 07/05/2024 14:32:24
Paul, I think the monochrome is much more interesting than the colour version of this image, especially with your more panoramic crop. On my screen, it looks like your grey scale could include a little more black but Cindy's edit looks a bit too dark to me (it could be my screen). Nice work and great find! First, I really like all the detail you recovered from original. I do agree it is a little flat. Possible raise the contract. Also, I would like a little more room on the left. I do really like the image and would like to shoot this myself.
