About the Image(s)
I have no color image as it is mono out of camera. This image was made while photographing my stepdaughter’s wedding, where I served as a supplemental photographer alongside the primary shooters. I used the opportunity to experiment with infrared capture. The frame was taken with a Nikon D750 full??‘spectrum conversion fitted with an 850?mm IR filter, producing the distinctive tonal shift and foliage glow characteristic of deep??‘IR. Exposure settings were 35?mm, 1/500 sec, f/4, ISO 200. Although the image shows a few technical challenges inherent to IR work, the surreal rendering added an effect I found visually compelling..

I've always wanted to experiment with IR photography, the B&W images produced have an ethereal quality. I hope to see more of your IR images.
For this type of subject I think an 8x10 crop works well, much of the foreground and background can go so we focus on the couple.
All in all a beautiful image, of a happy occasion; very nice work.   Posted: 10/09/2026 16:06:28
