Wonderful four and details. You have great tones ranging from pure white to pure black. A nice street scene and the expression on the girl is great. James, an interesting and quirky shot! If you hadn't mentioned that they walked by together, I never would have guessed they inhabited the same world. The contrast in their clothing, hair and facial expressions heightens my curiosity. Good exposure and tonal range, interesting background. Like Cindy, I wish there was a more obvious connection between the two (him looking more directly at her, for example) - but there has got to be a story there. Hello James, it takes courage to approach strangers to ask to photograph them. I think the do look like a couple, with the man checking to see that his partner is camera ready.
This is a great image but I would suggest two adjustments in composition: lower the camera so you capture the lady's folded hands (you'd have an implied triangle: her eyes looking at him, his eyes looking down towards her folded hands, and strips leading back up to her face), second crop in a little towards her left shoulder.   Posted: 04/10/2026 01:01:20
