About the Image(s)
I was walking by the ocean near where we live on Vancouver Island on a foggy day last October when I spotted this group of kayakers paddling by. I captured the scene originally (with my Nikon D750) at 1/3200 sec, f/9, ISO 320. At 82 mm focal length, they were still pretty far away, so in post, I cropped in closer to better centre them in the frame as well as to eliminate some of the very dark foliage and its reflection on the right. I kept the exposure fairly dark to try to reflect the moodiness of the day and made some minor adjustments to texture, sharpness and luminance. BW conversion was done mostly in LR, with some colour-slider adjustments in PS.
