About the Image(s)
This is an image taken last autumn of Corfe Castle in Dorset UK. This is an old Saxon castle which was destroyed during the English civil war. After hours of waiting for the fog to lift I got a clear shot of the ruin and some of the surrounding landscape trees and rooftops.

Great capture, with the fog elevating the image; what was the light source near the base of the ruins? Would you consider cropping the sky by half so the fog, hills, and ruins are 2/3s of the image, and removing the distant cell tower?   Posted: 03/09/2025 15:40:08
Great image. The fog adds so much atmosphere to the photo and the lighting is gorgeous. In my opinion, it would be a stronger composition to crop down on the sky so the horizon doesn't fall in the middle of the frame. Also, I think you could crop in a little from the right to eliminate the tops of the shrubs and a tiny bit from the left to put the castle in a crash point. I also flipped it horizontally..   Posted: 03/14/2025 16:28:43
Wow, you've got to love those UK ruins, and your capture of this one is well-timed (I commend you for your patience) and beautifully rendered. You have nice sharpness and texture on the castle while the light and the fog give the image a mystical, ethereal quality. I like Cindy's edit which, I think, puts the castle more strongly as the focus in the frame but I also like your original parameters - your thoughts? Well done.   Posted: 03/20/2025 01:28:39
