About the Image(s)

I shot this when we were in Spain a number of years ago with my old, old Nikon D60. 46mm focal length, 1/500 sec at f/8, ISO 800. As you can see, I did some major post-processing on the original - in PS and LR, some vertical transformation and skewing to get the image looking more dead on. BW conversion was mostly in LR with added contrast and a bit of texture, increased sharpness and luminance. When I brought up the shadows, the intricate carving on the walls emerged.

Such an interesting photo. Bringing up the shadows added so much interest and you did a nice job with the skew adjustment. This makes a nice monochrome, however, the color is nice, too. Good depth of field. I don't have any suggestions for improvement.   Posted: 01/17/2025 02:07:23

Nice shot Lorna.....challenging to deal with the dynamic range and still get a good view of the inscriptions etc... well done !   Posted: 01/17/2025 16:39:53

I really like the shop and how you brought back the shadows. I not sure you need the two windows as top as your story is in the opening, nice job.   Posted: 01/24/2025 21:50:24

The recovery of the shadow detail makes the shot. It's not easy to balance the shadows and highlights in this seen; we don't often have the luxury of using tripods in locations like this. Great job!   Posted: 01/26/2025 22:45:33
