About the Image(s)
This is from a recent trip to Gillette, Wyoming at the frontier car museum. This is all Sinclair gas. You can't see the head of the dinosaur, but can see his body.
I opened in ACR, in auto and made a few exposure settings, in Photoshop I did some cropping and removing distracting items from this photo around the edges and on the wall. I then put in topaz AI to sharpened and denoised. Then back in photoshop, I converted to black and white. Played with the color sliders to help add a little more contrast.

James, I think I prefer the colour version of this beautiful old cherry-red truck. I find the BW image a little static, the light a bit flat. That being said, the monochrome conversion is well-handled with excellent sharpness in detail and texture and good tonal separation. Great job with the colour sliders in PS!   Posted: 01/14/2025 04:15:00

I like both the color and monochrome versions. You have a wonderful range of tones in your monochrome, ranging from pure black to white. You did an excellent job with your sliders. I like the setting for the truck; it gives me a lot to explore. Excellent job!   Posted: 01/17/2025 02:04:29

20th Century Americana at its' best! B&W vs. Color, both work well. I wish there was more room between the front of the truck and the wall, but we can't control that. Overall great photo!   Posted: 01/26/2025 22:36:33
