About the Image(s)
There is a wild bird sanctuary in St. Louis and they held a camera day when they took the birds out in a wooded area. In post processing, I added a textured background to cut out the distractions and make it a little more dramatic. I converted it to momochrome and played with adjusting the contrast and clarity in Photoshop. Settings:f/6.3, 1/100, ISO 200, -0.7 step exposure compensation and 86 mm focal length.

The only thing missing is the original image in order to ge the whole story of the day. I love owles. So interesting to photograph with all the detail.

Nice job with the grunge high contrast. I am having to look closely if it real or not. I like the pose and how he is looking away.   Posted: 11/07/2024 18:05:06

Very nice image of the owl and nice post-processing work you have done; it adds a great of interest and texture to the picture.   Posted: 11/10/2024 00:23:30

Cindy, I always admire your wildlife shots. Good exposure, sharpness and detail. I like that you have caught the owl with that meditative look (and nice catch light) in its eyes. Good choice of background.   Posted: 11/11/2024 01:05:06

B&W conversion, and Post-processing are arts unto themselves. One can see that much work went into this image. Great job.   Posted: 11/19/2024 00:44:07
