October 2026 - Matschie's tree-kangaroo
About the Image(s)
The Minnesota zoo is an excellent location for practicing with new photo gear.
Nikon Z8, Z 180-600 lens @ 600mm, 1/250 sec @ f/6.3, ISO 25600. Processed in Lightroom Classic with a side trip to Topaz Photo AI for noise reduction.

Looks like the new combo is very sharp, even after JPEG compression there is quite a bit of sharpness in the face. The area behind the kangaroo is little distracting along with the out of focus left and lower right. Posted: 10/09/2026 23:52:04
