About the Image(s)

This was photographed in May during my daughter's graduation from Harvard after receiving her Masters degree. We spent a little time walking around and visited the public library. This was photographed with my OM-5 and 12-45 f4, ISO 64, 1/5 at f6.3. Obviously the goal was not to freeze the water so I used the Live ND feature that blends multiple frames to simulate exposure reduction. I think it provided a pretty nice movement without a lot of effort, pretty cool. The edits were in done in LR, straighten, crop and basic exposure improvements. Brought into PS remove some distracting elements and used Color EFEX to give it a little more pop.

Normally I wouldn't go for a symmetrical composition, but in this case it works, and it works very well. The shutter speed is spot on, slow enough to give us the feeling of motion, but not so slow that you lose detail. Your exposure is also spot on, retaining detail in both the highlights and the shadows. Well done and thanks for sharing.
