This photo of a sandhill crane was taken at Bosque del Apache in New Mexico a few years back. The birds winter over at this location so you have the opportunity to photograph tens of thousands of cranes and snow geese.

I like the golden glow of the water and placement of the crane in the upper part of the image.I think the reflection would be stronger if there was not as much interference and overlap with reeds and reflections. Posted: 07/14/2026 01:55:18
