About the Image(s)
Here's a blast from the past, a photo shot in the autumn of 2007 on Little Cranberry Island in Maine. The clouds were closing in that day. Nikon D90, 18-70mm lens, ISO 200 1/200 @ f16. Conversion in SilverEfex Pro

Hi Craig. Love the B/W rendition of this photo. Nothing really to comment about perhaps if I would have to pick on something, the highlights in the clouds could be slightly reduced by a bit.
PS: I do own a D90 and wondering whether you are using it or just like mine - kept safe in a camera bag :).   Posted: 11/08/2024 22:49:10

I traded my D90 for a D7100, which I just traded for a Z7ii.   Posted: 11/09/2024 21:21:09

Hi Craig
I really like the clouds you've captured, the vertical shadows on the left are awesome, and I like the significant contrast between the highlights on the left (which according to the histogram aren't blown out) and shadows on the right.
A few suggestions, straighten the horizon (it's higher on the left), clone out the bug/plan/artifact in the sky and the sensor spots on the right, and it looks like there's something going on at the end of the pier (a clone job or something?).   Posted: 11/16/2024 19:45:54

I too like your photo of the harbor. It is a bit busy, but my eye keeps returning to the boats in the foreground. They anchor the photo. B&W works well for this photo!   Posted: 11/20/2024 12:41:13

Craig,
I love how you rendered this in B&W. You have some wonderful white boats on the beach and those ominous clouds. To me this is a story about an approaching storm. The flag tells us that it is coming our way. My only suggestion would be to crop the right side to get rid of the little shed on the left edge. I don't want my eye to get stuck there!   Posted: 11/21/2024 22:04:02
