About the Image(s)
I used a camera that was converted to a infra red camera. I used a Nikon 70=120mm set to about 45mm. f8 shutter setting not recorded.Infra red capture results in a low contrast brown image. Processing requires raising the red response slide and decreasing the green slider until all color is removed Tehn sharpening and set contrast to taste.

Hi Al! There is such contrast between the calm water in your image and the raging waves in Steve´s. I love the IR effect in the luminous whites in the trees, the dramatic sky and the fine sharp details. - I wonder if it might be possible to open the blacks in the rocks in the shadow a little?   Posted: 04/12/2026 21:06:14
Yes., I. could have reduced contrast by bring up some of the shadows. I chose not to reduce contrast, because I am not looking for a realist seascape, but for a dream like (maybe night marish fantasy.   Posted: 04/13/2026 18:41:31
Thanks, Al - it works!   Posted: 04/15/2026 07:03:16
Hi Albert,
A really dynamic landscape, well exposed and processed. The clouds, the wooded land, the shore line and more. Other than perhaps lightening the lower right corner but even that is nit picking.
A very nice image Albert - thank you for sharing it with us.   Posted: 04/12/2026 22:13:05

Nice image of an IR capture. I always had processing issues with IR and got frustrated with it all then sold the camera (720nm). I agree a real dynamic photo.   Posted: 04/13/2026 00:27:23

I also couldn't help noticing the comparison/contrast between this photo and Steve's. I was going to suggest lightening up the foreground until I saw your comments and what you were trying to convey, and now I see that and it works very well as you processed it.
I look forward to any other IR photos you have.
Thanks
