About the Image(s)

On a trip to South Africa, we came upon this pair of lions, The morning was quite cold. The lions found a pile of elephant dung which was still steaming slightly, but it was warmer than the ground. The lioness walked over, nuzzled him. Then she joined him in this found warm bed. The sun had risen shortly before so the light 's color and angle enhanced the scene

Hi Al, it must be rare to be able to capture such a special moment of tenderness and companionship. The direction of the light is perfect to define the pair, and shows every sharp hair and whisker. - On my monitor the image looks a bit dark. I wonder if it is possible to brighten the lions slightly?   Posted: 05/07/2025 18:10:57

Hi Albert - You really have captured a tender moment between the two subjects, which creates impact for this image. The lions are nicely isolated from the background and I think the composition works well. To my eye, the texture of the lions looks a little strong. I wonder if bringing down the sharpening on the subjects might be something to consider.   Posted: 05/07/2025 23:29:05
