It's an amazing difference between the original and the final version. The final version really highlights the decay and passing of time on an abandoned building.
I like how the highlights on the foreground shrubs lead into the subject, and also how those highlights are complimented by the texture of the clouds. And the dark clouds add to the overall feel of the photo.
It's a very well composed photo.

Hi Barbara! I think that image captures the sadness and the strange beauty of the abandoned house, and Nature taking over. I love your camera angle that makes the most of the jungle of bushes and creepers, and adds drama to the scene.   Posted: 04/09/2025 18:16:01
Thanks Kirsti. I tried different angles but this one seemed to work best.   Posted: 04/16/2025 23:38:29
Hi Barbara - I love the story about time, the image tells. You can just feel the long line of shrubbery slowly taking over the mill. I like the point of view you have on the shot as we get to see the building from a ground perspective. Great processing on the black and white. I don't have any suggestions - well done!   Posted: 04/10/2025 18:58:03

Spectacular job on the clouds -- totally changes and adds dimension to the scene. Excellent job on both the original image and the processing!   Posted: 04/12/2025 17:13:45
