About the Image(s)
Our camera club took a field trip to Bruneau Dunes to shoot the Milky Way. As I was waiting for darkness, I liked the scene of the perfectly lined sand in front of me with the dunes and lake in the distance. The shot was processed in Lightroom and PhotoshopThe shot was taken on a Fuji X-T3, 16mm, 10 seconds, ISO 400, F8.0.

Hi Jeff - this is a fabulous composition!
Very smooth surfaces for the sand and water; even the mountains have a smoothness to them. The eye moves around from the main areas of the foreground dune, water, main dunes, sky, and trees. You did an amazing job of brightening the finished product from the original. I don't have any suggestions for improvement.   Posted: 11/15/2024 22:38:27

Hi Robert, I admire the way you use the light to define the contours of the dunes and to create the serene mood of the image. I love the composition, too, with the curved lines in the sand in the foreground that lead the viewer into the image and are repeated in the dunes till the horizon, and the bright water area that is like a centerpiece in the frame.   Posted: 11/18/2024 07:03:56
