My computer is down with a virus, so doing everything with my phone over the cellular network. So, limited editing. And, since I've never been much of a mobile editing jockey, I only cropped and sharpened. I also removed the blemish on a petal behind the skipper. Settings are ISO 24, f/1.7, 1/587 sec, 6.9 mm, with the 5x lens setting...whatever that means in cell phone terms.

Sorry to hear about your computer. Fortunately, this image didn't need much post processing other than your cropping. The moth is in sharp focus and properly placed in the frame albeit a bit close to the right margin. Great capture! Posted: 08/02/2026 18:17:12
This is a great close-up photo with such nice detail on your main subject. Great focus and colors. The antenna and legs are in good focus and we can even see the hairs on the legs. I find the blurred halo around the petals a little distracting and wonder if cropping down some could eliminate that. Posted: 08/09/2026 21:28:07
Very nice macro shot. Cell phone cameras have their uses, and I have found that some do close-up shots very well. The only thing I think that would make it more eye-catching is showing more of the pistil. Posted: 08/23/2026 13:27:40
