About the Image(s)
I set this up in natural light with a black foam board behind it and the flower sitting on black plexiglass. I did a lot of dodging and burning using Curves layers. I used clarity to sharpen some and Denoise. Settings: f/11, 39 mm focal length, 0.4 exposure time and ISO 400 with a tripod.

You captured this hydrangea flower beautifully! I really like the subtle reflection in the reflective black plexiglass. Your post processing brought out the delicacy of the purple flowers magnificently!   Posted: 08/02/2026 18:32:46

Cindy,
Another perfect floral image. You really have that dialed in!
As David noted, the subtle reflection is great. I really love the placement of the leaf on the bottom, and how it s under the flower head. It is a nice touch, the kind that separates an average still life from an excellent one.
