A wonderful close-up shot that is so interesting. Great details and an interesting, blurry background that doesn't take away from your subject. I like your cropping too. I know right where you want me to look. I wouldn't change a thing. Nice job!   Posted: 04/04/2026 19:49:28

This is one of those images that would do well in a "hands" competition. The gesture in the artist's hand tells the whole story. If I were to make any suggestions, it might be to add a slight vignette to the image to keep one's focus on the hand.   Posted: 04/04/2026 20:55:36

Great texture and composition. I might like to crop it in just a bit more form the bottom. I think it feels more intimate with the subject. Great photo!   Posted: 04/04/2026 21:09:05

Wow, great photo. The monochrome choice is wonderful, even though I suspect it looks darn good in color as well. Your depth of field and focus is ideal...hair, weave in the denim jeans, the hand and brush, and the sketch book sharp and crisp. The background inconsequentially soft, yet with enough light patterning to draw some attention as well. Even the use of contrasting light and dark where the line of the jeans meets with the background is dramatic. Don't know if that crop was intentional or not, but it is one more thing I like about the photo.   Posted: 04/05/2026 01:31:06
