About the Image(s)
Camera: Nikon Z 7
Lens: Nikkor Z 24-200mm,
Camera Settings: 1/200 sec at f?8.0, ISO 6400, 24 mm
Photo was taken at the Edfu Temple in Edfu, Egypt.
The columns were covered with hieroglyphics and carvings.
I wanted the capture the huge temple and use tourists to
convey the size of the temple.
Editing was done in Lightroom, such as adjusting exposure, clarity and detail.

This is a very pleasant image and I like the way you have kept the pillars vertical. The people definitely give a sense of scale and I like to keep some in my architectural shots but I would have removed them all except the three in the middle distance. The lady at the front is very distracting. The Remove tool in Photoshop is very powerful and would do a good job on the people at the back but might not be quite so successful at the front because the front lady overlaps with the lady in the middle, but it is worth a try.   Posted: 07/07/2025 23:56:54
I think this is a wonderful travel image. Your focus, composition, exposure and clarity are spot-on. Exceptional job! The woman in the front doesn't bother me and, in fact, helps tell the story - plus, I like the spot of color.   Posted: 07/08/2025 14:47:43
The ancient Egyptian culture has always fascinated me, even as a boy. I was drawn to the mummies at the museum in Chicago. I've never been to Egypt, and I appreciate your pictures. Your image tells a story about tourists at an ancient site. From that perspective I like the woman in blue and wish she could be the only tourist in the picture.   Posted: 07/08/2025 16:57:35
Nice travel/document, especially with tourists around the base of the structures, it tells the size of the columns, relative prospective of the structures, which was done many years ago, without all the modern tools and engineering knowledges. Well done.
